These terms explain how you may use the Undersheet Mac app and undersheet.app. They are provided by Withers XYZ Pty Ltd, trading as Withers Co. (“we”, “us”), an Australian company. Undersheet is made by Josh Withers.
Your rights under Australian law come first. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Using the app
We grant you a non-exclusive licence to download, install and use the current free Undersheet app on Macs you own or are authorised to use, for personal or commercial purposes. No Undersheet account is required. All features in the current website download are free.
We retain ownership of the app and our website content, except for third-party material. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences, listed in the app’s credits. Content from websites you inspect remains the property of its respective owners; using Undersheet does not give you new rights to that content. These terms do not restrict rights granted by applicable law or a third-party open-source licence.
Responsible use
Only access websites and content you are legally entitled to access. Respect applicable laws, intellectual property, privacy, access restrictions and any rules that apply to automated crawling. Do not use Undersheet to bypass authentication, evade access controls, damage services or interfere unlawfully with other people’s systems.
You are responsible for the URLs you inspect and for how you use or share exports and copied content. Inspection results may contain personal information or confidential material from a website. Review them before sharing.
Understanding the results
Undersheet helps you inspect website content, original HTML and related technical evidence to inform SEO and AEO choices. Results describe what the app observed at a particular time and with a particular request or viewing mode.
They do not prove that a search engine or AI provider can access, index, rank or understand a website. Simulated bot requests do not come from a verified bot network. Results are not a guarantee of rankings, traffic, accessibility, legal compliance or commercial outcomes, and do not replace professional advice where you need it.
Beta software and other services
Undersheet is currently a beta. It may contain errors, and features may evolve. Keep copies of important files and check findings before acting on them. Subject to your rights under applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free results or any particular SEO or AEO outcome.
Websites you inspect, Google PageSpeed Insights and other external services operate independently and have their own terms and privacy practices. They may change, block requests or become unavailable. Optional checks are initiated by you. How requests and local information are handled is described in our privacy policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Where the Australian Consumer Law, in Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), applies, you retain all applicable consumer guarantees and remedies. These terms, the beta label and the app’s price do not take away any rights that apply to you.
If the app or a service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under that law. Contact josh@withers.co so we can consider the issue. Any responsibility for loss is determined under applicable law; these terms do not impose a blanket exclusion of liability or a cap that removes non-excludable rights.
The ACCC’s consumer rights guidance explains consumer guarantees and available remedies.
Future releases and these terms
Future releases or distribution channels may have separate terms or pricing, which will be made clear before you choose them. We will not charge you for the current free download or introduce a payment obligation without your agreement. A future Mac App Store release may also be subject to Apple’s applicable terms.
Any revised terms will show a new date and apply prospectively. They will not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired. You can stop using the app at any time; uninstalling it does not affect rights or obligations that have already arisen.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Courts in Tasmania have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent you from using another court or tribunal available to you, or relying on mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
For questions, support or a complaint, email Josh Withers at josh@withers.co. We aim to respond within 30 days. You can also seek assistance from an applicable consumer protection agency or tribunal.
