Undersheet helps you read a website report and inspect the page evidence behind it. These steps cover Mac, iPhone and iPad, whether you installed through the App Store, TestFlight or the Mac download.
For help, email josh@withers.co.
Get started
Open Undersheet, enter a public website address and start an inspection. On Mac, press Command-L to focus the address field. The report presents captured website content and supporting sections such as headings, links, images and structured data. Use the outline or report sections to move through a long page.
Original HTML and rendered content
For websites, Undersheet first requests and keeps the original HTML response. JavaScript is on by default; after that request, Undersheet can capture a separately labelled Rendered DOM in a temporary WebKit session. This capture may run the website’s scripts and request its resources.
Choose Original HTML to inspect the response by itself, or turn JavaScript off before inspecting to skip the rendered capture. The original response remains available either way. The rendered capture is a snapshot of what WebKit captured; it does not fill in missing HTTP response details or establish what a search provider indexed. Local HTML files do not run their scripts.
Follow a website link
In Website Content or Links, click or tap an ordinary supported website link to inspect its destination in a new report. On iPhone and iPad, same-page links can jump to captured headings; targets that were not extracted may have no action. Some entries are downloads, email or phone actions, resource references, or script actions rather than report destinations.
A page or image will not load
Check that the address is a public HTTP or HTTPS page and try the page again. Pages that require sign-in, permissions or unsupported website interactions may not be available to inspect. If the report is incomplete, compare Original HTML with the separately labelled rendered capture. If the site needs scripts to add content, leave JavaScript on and inspect the rendered capture. A website may still block a request or return incomplete content.
Image previews depend on the image address and response. Check the displayed address and any error in the preview; the report may still contain the image markup and alternative text. Some formats or SVG content cannot be previewed. On iPhone or iPad, imported HTML does not load linked images automatically; choose Load image when available and you want to request one. On Mac, Download Image… is available when the image resource has loaded.
Contact support
Email josh@withers.co with your device and operating system, the Undersheet version or build if available, what you did and what you expected to happen. Mention whether JavaScript was on and whether you were using Original HTML or the rendered report. A public page URL or screenshot can help reproduce an issue if you are comfortable sharing it. Please do not include private page captures, passwords, API keys or other secrets.
Our privacy policy explains how support messages, optional Google checks and TestFlight reports are handled. See our terms of use for app licence and Australian consumer rights.
Send TestFlight beta feedback
If you use the beta, open Undersheet in TestFlight, choose Send Beta Feedback, add a short description and optionally attach a screenshot, then submit. Include the app version and build shown in TestFlight and the context described above. You can also email us.
Josh Withers reviews reports in App Store Connect. If he downloads a copy to investigate, it stays on his personal computer, is not shared onward and is deleted when the related issue is resolved. Apple manages retention in its own services separately.
